Building Lasting Change 2020 – ONLINE
Ready, Set, Recover
Canada faces an unprecedented challenge – but also an unprecedented opportunity. We have reached a pivotal point where the transition toward a low-carbon economy must happen. At the same time, we face the social and economic fallout of a global pandemic.
As governments and industry consider Canada’s post-pandemic economic recovery, they will decide where to target increased spending and investment. Green building offers the most actionable solutions and can reignite the economy by creating skilled jobs and increasing innovation while reducing carbon emissions and enhancing Canadians’ quality of life.
In this critical decade, Canada must take urgent and sustained action to achieve its climate change commitments. Success will require accelerating and scaling up our collective impact across the entire building sector to provide healthier, low-carbon, and resilient places to work, live, and learn.
Building Lasting Change 2020 (BLC) offers five half-days of forward-thinking solutions, practical ideas, and education. Join us for real-time, online interactions with the leaders, change-makers, investors, and innovators of Canada’s burgeoning green building marketplace.
The Building Lasting Change program includes five half day, virtual events:
September 29 – ZERO CARBON: Make Zero Today
October 6 – RESILIENCE AND ADAPTATION: Responding to Change
October 13 – RETROFITS: Beyond Energy Efficiency
October 20 – HEALTH AND LIVABILITY: Pillars of Green Building
Plus two special live webcast events:
October 27 – Coast to Coast: Regional Impact and Market Growth – This regionally focused event will address workforce development, innovative policies and programs plus the market impact of green buildings across Canada.
November 3 – Women in Green “Diverse Voices. United Action” – This half day event will attract individuals who are focused on action, change and balance within our industry and encourage participants to find their voice and contribute to global action.
