As a part of the project, Fourth Day has also been able to strike up a strategic partnership with Actual Media, a Toronto-based communications and publications house with a particular focus on the infrastructure, water industry and environment sectors.

“To be fortunate enough not only to get a partner with the credentials and standing of Actual Media, but also to find such an interesting project as, in as exciting an industry as environmental technology, is a tremendous fillip.”

“We are looking forward to improving Getcleantech’s global audience and developing our expertise in this industry immensely.”

Susan Sheehan, founder of, sees the acquisition of a good strategic partner in Europe as the next logical step in bringing the Cleantech industry on both sides of the Atlantic closer together.

“Europe, and Germany in particular, is a critical market for environmental technology and developing a good connection to Europe is a crucial part of our strategy,” she said.

“A boutique company like Fourth Day, with its flexibility and international presence, is an ideal fit as we start our own process of expansion. The synergies from the two companies’ relative sizes and strategies should ensure that we enjoy a good understanding and successful collaboration.”

CEO and owner of Actual Media Todd Latham also welcomed the value that a new international partnership would add.

“As Canada and Europe continue to move closer together economically, having a partner with a presence across Europe but with the same close-knit feel and culture is a good addition to Actual Media’s profile,” he said.
