Retrofit Canada Conference

Following the great success of our first Retrofit Canada Conference in 2021, the first and only retrofit conference in Canada is coming back, stronger than ever this coming June 2022.

Aligned with Canada’s 2050 net-zero emissions goal, the plan to retrofit more homes has been accelerated and a program to help owners manage the disruptive deep retrofit process while reducing costs by bundling similar retrofits across homes is very much needed. The target is to retrofit around 4.5 million homes by 2030, a third of buildings built before 2010.

Renewable energy company Noventa Energy Partner is developing, in partnership with UHN and the support of Enbridge Gas, a $42.9 million Retrofit Project of Toronto Western Hospital. This Project will provide 90% of the hospital’s heating and cooling requirements.

Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) and Fiera Private Debt have recently announced an investment of $200 million retrofit project with The Société de financement et d’accompagnement en performance énergétique du Québec s.e.c. (SOFIAC). This project will retrofit a big number of commercial, industrial, and multi-residential buildings in Quebec, making SOFIAC the largest energy efficiency initiative in Canada.
