Following a competitive Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) process, the City of Calgary announced the shortlist of companies selected for the 2026–2031 civil works construction packages for the Green Line LRT – SE Project.
This announcement marks a significant milestone in the advancement of the Green Line LRT. By identifying key players early, we are helping others understand where and how they can collaborate with the Green Line LRT – SE Project, whether through partnerships, subcontracting opportunities, or meaningful career pathways.
These companies (listed in alphabetical order) are now eligible to submit proposals for five major projects going to market in 2026:

Phase 1 of the Green Line LRT, from Shepard in the southeast to the Downtown has been approved with $6.248 billion in funding commitments from the City of Calgary, Province of Alberta, and Government of Canada.
The City of Calgary is responsible for delivering the project, with construction of the SE Segment now underway. Contracts are already being awarded to local construction companies, and more than $3 billion in additional tenders will be released to the market in 2025 and 2026.
