Infrastructure Ontario and Oak Valley Health have issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for teams to deliver the Oak Valley Health – Uxbridge Redevelopment Project located in Uxbridge, Ontario.
The Request for Qualifications is the first step in the process to select a team to help deliver the project. Submissions will be reviewed to shortlist teams with the required construction experience, as well as the financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity. Shortlisted teams will then be invited to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP), which is expected to be published in summer 2026.
The Oak Valley Health – Uxbridge Redevelopment Project is being delivered using a Design-Bid-Build model. The architect and engineers of record, under contract to Oak Valley Health, are completing the design documents. This RFQ is to select a contractor to deliver the project based on these designs.
In July, Oak Valley Health (OVH) announced the start of early works construction on the new Uxbridge Hospital.
PCL Construction’s civil team will prepare the site for the hospital’s transformative redevelopment project, including groundwork, site development and installation of site services.
The new hospital will feature:
- Increased patient capacity, with the addition of up to 11 new beds, bringing the total number of beds at the hospital to 31.
- Expansion of key services, including diagnostic imaging, cardiorespiratory services, and laboratory and pharmacy services.
- Increased access to inpatient, emergency and ambulatory services.
The project also includes a brand-new, 192-bed long-term care home — right on the hospital campus.
