About The Project

The New Hospital Complex (NCH) aims to consolidate the activities of L’Hôtel-Dieu de Québec and the Enfant-Jésus Hospital on the same site. The NCH will become a reference centre for several specialties including nephrology, neurology, oncology, traumatology, and burns. The project places the patient and employee at its heart to innovate in health care and research, and above all, to provide even better care for the population of eastern Quebec. With a total of 174,983 square metres of new constructions and the redevelopment of almost a third of the existing buildings, the NCH will have 700 hospital beds, including 105 critical care beds, 30 operating rooms and 60 emergency stretchers.
