The Government of Ontario appointed Angela Clayton as the new interim-president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infrastructure Ontario (IO). Clayton will assume her new role later this month, once the current president and CEO of IO, Michael Lindsay, moves over to Metrolinx.

In the wake of the resignation of Metrolinx CEO Phil Verster  last week, Lindsay was appointed as interim-president and CEO and he will move over to Metrolinx on December 9.

“I want to congratulate Angela Clayton on her appointment as the new interim-president and CEO of Infrastructure Ontario,” said Kinga Surma, Minister of Infrastructure. “Having already worked closely with Ms. Clayton on many files, including the Ontario Line, I look forward to our continued collaboration in building the critical infrastructure Ontarians need to make their lives more affordable, convenient, healthy, and safe.”

With more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure sector, Clayton has extensive experience working in both the private and public sectors in the areas of strategic planning, risk management and program management. Since 2021, Ms. Clayton has been the president of project delivery with Infrastructure Ontario.
