About The Project

A vivid demonstration that great cities invest in their futures, the Arts Commons Transformation will expand and modernize Calgary’s premier performing arts centre while nurturing revitalization of the city’s downtown core. Design for the fully funded $270 million expansion, a new building on the Arts Commons campus, is underway and will break ground in 2024. A capital campaign will launch in 2023 to secure the remaining funds to re-imagine and modernize the existing Arts Commons facility.
