About The Project
The new natural gas power facility will use combined-cycle technology to provide up to 370 megawatts (MW) of power. Including design and procurement, the project, which began construction in the spring of 2024, is now nearing the halfway point. As of Nov. 2025, $558 million has been committed to 189 Saskatchewan businesses through the project, including $263.5 million to 21 Indigenous-owned businesses and $29.5 million to nine women-owned businesses.
