About The Project

The Hamilton LRT project, as proposed, would bring 14 kilometres of rapid transit to Ontario’s fifth-largest city, connecting McMaster University in the west to Eastgate in the East, with 17 stops planned on the route. In November, 2024 the Province issued an RFQ for the Civil Works and Utility Relocations contract to lead the construction of most civil work, including utility relocations, roads, structures, grade separations, bridges, sidewalks and traffic control signals along the alignment.
