About The Project
Trillium Health Partners is the largest community-based hospital network in Canada. The new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital will fully replace the existing Mississauga Hospital. The project is being delivered using a new progressive public-private partnership (P3) approach, which involves both a Development Phase Agreement and a design-build-finance-maintain P3 Project Agreement. In the Summer of 2024, the Trillium ED/PCL JV partnership begun executing the Enabling Works that will bring substantial changes to the project site before excavation and construction. Along with the systematic demolition of three buildings, there will be major efforts made to remove and relocate site utilities, realign site roads, and create new temporary construction roads to prepare the site’s footprint for the next phase of construction.
