About The Project

Route 389 connects the town of Baie-Comeau and the border of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador over a distance of 570 kilometres. Built in stages, it has a very rugged and winding profile requiring several connections. The program is divided into five separate projects carried out in parallel: Project A—from Fire Lake to Fermont; Project B—from Baie-Comeau to Manic-2; Project C—north of Manic-5, from kilometre 240 to kilometre 254; Project D—from Manic-2 to the north of Manic-3; and Project E—from north of Manic-3 to Manic-5.
