Atlas Engineered Products announced that commissioning is complete and training and testing are underway on sellable roof truss production runs using its first robotic truss line at its new automation facility in Clinton, Ont.

The expansion was supported by a $4-million contribution from Natural Resources Canada under the Forest Innovation Program.

Hadi Abassi, President, CEO and founder of AEP, stated, “We are extremely grateful for the support of our shareholders, the Government of Canada’s IFIT program, our suppliers and our employees as we complete the installation and commissioning of Canada’s first robotic roof truss manufacturing line at our new 42,000-square-foot automation facility. The increased capacity and operating efficiencies provided by this robotic line will help AEP support the industry as Canada works to build more homes.”
