Celebrating the Biggest Infrastructure Projects in Western Canada

On May 13, senior executives from throughout the Canadian public sector infrastructure landscape came together at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel to celebrate more than $300 billion in infrastructure megaproject development at the third annual Top100 Projects Key Players and Owners Dinner.

BC Hydro CEO Chris O’Riley provided keynote remarks at the event.

“As British Columbia’s leading electricity provider, serving over five million customers, our work goes far beyond keeping the lights on—we’re here to strengthen energy security, expand clean power and drive long-term economic prosperity,” he told the audience.

“We are also driving some of the largest and most exciting capital projects in British Columbia right now—creating thousands of jobs and infrastructure opportunities throughout the province.”

“Looking ahead, we know the critical role energy plays in economic stability, and supporting your businesses, your customer, and communities.

“And BC Hydro is committed to ensuring continued the continued supply of renewable, secure and reliable power for British Columbians.

Work is now underway to develop the 2026 edition of the Top100 Projects report. Project and stakeholder submissions are being accepted now. If you would like to supply us with information for consideration for the report, please email ReNew Canada Editor John Tenpenny at [email protected].
