Infrastructure Ontario announced that the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage has closed for the North York General (NYG) New Patient Care Tower redevelopment project.
Technical and commercial submissions have been received, with collaborative and behavioural assessments scheduled for spring 2026. The project is being delivered using Infrastructure Ontario’s (IO) Alliance delivery modeI.
Four teams were shortlisted and invited to respond to the RFP in August 2025.
The following teams submitted their proposals by the deadline:

North York Healthcare Alliance
PCL Constructors Inc.
The has closed for the North York General (NYG) – New Patient Care Tower redevelopment project. The new tower will include patient care spaces and underground parking connecting to NYG’s existing building to enable flow of patients, staff, and materials, ensuring a high level of integration between new and existing spaces.
The alliance partner is expected to be announced in summer 2026. During the Alliance Development Phase, the partners will work together to advance the project’s design and mitigate project risks. Project implementation is expected to begin following the conclusion of the Development Phase.
